Objectives:
1. To ensure active youth participation at regional, international and national levels of leadership.
2. To create a new sense of proactive and responsible African youths with the view of reducing corruption in the new Africa.
3. To enhance equality and the fundamental human rights of African youths.
4. To promote a healthy living and great networking among African youths.
5. To ensure effectiveness and proper utilization of our resources in Africa to benefit all.
6. To encourage entrepreneurship and reduce the rate of unemployment threat by advocating for a restructuring in our Education sector to meet the labour market.
7. To solicit for funds and carry out activities within Africa and beyond.
Founder
Progressive Youths for Africa is a registered international youth, charitable, social, nonprofit, non-governmental, non-political organization seeking to advocate for the rights of humanity and render services for the holistic development of people and their communities.
Progressive Youths Africa was earlier a dream of OJO Olumuyiwa who has displayed entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills; organizing peers into clubs and groups, setting up stalls to serve humanity and providing different training opportunities for the youths. It is a dream come true that today he has managed to assemble highly courageous youths capable of
pioneering the change for a greater and prosperous Africa and he is glad and happy to be fulfilling this dream. The founder was able to use his interpersonal skills through team building to form a working group committed to the promotion of the ideals of his initiative. Through him and his group, the lives of several young people have changed by imbibing the spirit and commitment to community development as a collective approach in enhancing the socio economic living conditions of young people through making them self-reliant and contributors to national development.
The organization has been engaged in 34 countries in African various programs which include education, health care, skills training, income generation schemes, advocacy and various other interventions relative to youth empowerment, promoting girl’s right and emancipation and child development advocacy. Progressive Youths Africa is recognized at international level due to its outstanding services to the people. In fact the NGO has set new standards of community involvement in the identification of problems, proposing their solutions, making bestsuited plans as per local requirement and successful execution of these plans. At all these stages consultation with community and their physical participation is ensured to
achieve the best results. In turn community has also given its full support in terms of time, material, land and moral support in countries where projects have been initiated.
An important aspect of the Progressive Youths Africa services is that youths are involved for the first time in the development of policies at consultation, planning and execution levels. The organisation strives in activities that are driven by programs and policies aimed at influencing change in societies and transforming of individual lives especially
youths in positive direction.
OJO Olumuyiwa who hails from Nigeria, the western part of Africa is a young energetic,dynamic, competent, ambitious and decisive, a confident natural leader who has displayed entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills; organizing peers into clubs and groups, setting up stalls to serve humanity and provide ICT. training to youths.It is a dream come true that today he has managed to assemble highly courageous youths capable of pioneering the change for a greater and prosperous Africa and he is glad and happy to be fulfilling this dream.
